Six New B6 Bowling Balls for October 2026: Strategy Logic, Purple Rhino Pro, Outsider, Smooth Criminal, Synthesis Prime and Vexed Variant

Brunswick's B6 brand family, which includes Brunswick, DV8, Track and Radical, is releasing six new bowling balls on October 22, 2026. This is one of the most varied launches of the year. It brings a cleaner, longer version of a proven Brunswick asymmetric ball, the return of a legendary name, two DV8 balls built with no-thumb bowlers in mind, a pearl version of Track's heavy-oil workhorse, and a stronger addition to Radical's Vexed line.
These balls cover almost every part of an arsenal. Two are control pieces for drier or tougher conditions, two fit the middle of the bag, and two are built to handle heavier oil. Here's what's new, how each ball reacts, and where it fits in your bag.
Brunswick Strategy Logic: Length With a Faster Response
The original Strategy helped bowlers stay ahead of changing lane conditions. The Brunswick Strategy Logic keeps the same Dual Centric asymmetric core but changes the setup. The HK22C² EVO Hybrid coverstock replaces the Strategy's pearl cover. The result is more length, a faster response to friction and a cleaner look through the front of the lane.
The Strategy Logic is a strong step down from your heavy-oil ball. It's a good choice once the heads start to break down and you need to move in and open up angles without the ball reacting early.
Brunswick Purple Rhino Pro: A Legend Built for Control
For many bowlers, the Purple Rhino was their first reactive resin ball. The Brunswick Purple Rhino Pro brings the name back with a design focused on control rather than raw hook. A thick-shell design gives it a higher RG and lower differential than many modern performance balls. The Savvy Hook 4.0 Solid cover and the Vintage Light Bulb symmetric core, a nod to the original Rhino, produce easy length, a smooth midlane read and a predictable move at the breakpoint.
Higher-rev players and league bowlers who want a reliable benchmark ball that won't overreact will get the most from it.

DV8 Outsider: Designed for No-Thumb Bowlers
The DV8 Outsider is built around DV8's patent-pending No Thumb core technology. The Renegade asymmetric core was designed around how two-handed and no-thumb bowlers release the ball, not around a traditional thumb hole. The HK22 Jailbreak (F7) solid cover gives easy length and a very smooth midlane read, followed by a strong, controlled breakpoint.
It was designed with no-thumb bowlers in mind, but it can also be drilled with a thumb hole, so traditional one-handed bowlers can get the same easy-length, smooth motion.
DV8 Smooth Criminal: An Alternative to Urethane
The DV8 Smooth Criminal steps away from the HK22 cover base used on most of DV8's performance line. It uses the Jailbreak (S5) hybrid cover with the Larceny core, which has a low RG and low differential. The ball gets into its roll early, blends the pattern and stays very smooth and predictable from the foul line to the pocket.
That makes it a smart alternative to urethane and NU cover balls on short to medium patterns, wet/dry house shots and other tough conditions where stronger balls tend to overreact. It also adds another control option to DV8's No Thumb lineup.
Track Synthesis Prime: Pearl Power for More Length
The original Track Synthesis became a heavy-oil favorite thanks to its strong, early read. The Track Synthesis Prime uses the same I-Core Gen4 asymmetric core but adds a Prime Response Pearl (HK22C²) cover finished at 3000 Siaair. It gets through the front of the lane more cleanly than both the Synthesis and the Paragon Fire, then makes a strong, sweeping, continuous move through the pins.
Use it when the original Synthesis starts reading too early, or whenever you want length and backend power on medium to heavier oil.

Radical Vexed Variant: A Stronger Step Up
The Radical Vexed Variant has an updated version of the proven Vexed core. It keeps the signature 3-to-1 total-to-intermediate differential ratio that defined the original's motion, but raises the total differential for more flare and overall hook. With an RG of 2.490, a Differential of 0.045 and an Intermediate Differential of 0.015, it's a clear step up in strength while keeping the predictable, continuous motion of the Vexed line.
The HK22C+ Solid cover gets noticeably earlier traction and more total hook than the original Vexed, and Radical's R&D testers consistently found the Variant to be the stronger ball. Like the Evil Eye and the original Vexed, it comes with six drilling options, so you can match the reaction to your game.
