The Hammer Vibe line has been a constant benchmark in the Hammer line for many years. Every Vibe bowling ball released has set new standards for balls considered to be medium oil type bowling balls. And once again, Hammer has not disappointed with the release of the new Deep Ocean Vibe. The Deep Ocean Vibe features the same Vibe "hourglass" shaped symmetric core wrapped in the HK-22 CT-Reactive Plus coverstock. Out of the box, the ball is finished at 2000 SIAAIR with compound. The layout chosen for this ball is 55x5x25. This layout will allow for good length and recoverability off the spot. I altered the surface on mine and took it down to 1500. The reason was because the ball was exceptionally angular off the spot, so I wanted to slow the angularity down and make the ball smoother off the spot. This ball with this layout can be used on both house shots and tournament conditions. The Ocean Vibe was by far my favorite out of the Vibe line, but the new Deep Ocean Vibe has taken its place as my favorite Vibe ball. The price point on the ball along with its performance makes the Deep Ocean Vibe a must have in your bag.
