Big traction. Heavy oil hitter. Relentless continuation.
The SWAG Executioner is an absolute beast. This is the ball you pull out when the lanes have oil and you need something that is going to pick up the lane and keep driving through the pins. Right away, the Executioner gives you a strong read through the mid-lane without feeling lazy. The asymmetric core and aggressive cover create a ton of traction, allowing you to get the ball into the oil and still see it make a strong move toward the pocket. The ball is very angular. What really stands out is the continuation. A lot of strong balls can read early and lose energy before they get to the pins, but the Executioner keeps driving. The house I bowl at has a lot of oil to begin with but then it all gets moved down-lane. I am able to just keep moving left and let the ball do the work and cut through it all. For me, this is the definition of a heavy-oil hitter. When the lanes demand your strongest ball, the Executioner answers the call. Big traction. Strong mid-lane. Relentless continuation.

Mercy is for the Weak.
This was a really difficult review to write because it meant putting the ball down. I love this ball. Drilled 60 x 5” x 30, the Executioner is the strongest ball from SWAG that I have thrown. It is a couple of boards stronger and a little earlier than the Black Dragon Hybrid, shape is rounded and not sharp, which is to be expected from a heavier oil volume monster. It is very much a control ball with a strong midlane read and powerful continuation through the pins. My favorite ball from this set of releases so far, I love the strength and predictability it provides on fresh and heavier oil patterns. I have found I can make adjustments and continue playing this ball as the lanes start to transition without it losing energy or carry. This will likely be the first ball out of the bag at Nationals, replacing my Judge. The core looks to be a modified Graffiti core and the coverstock with AP26 is a great match to what the SWAG Development team was looking to create. This is a must for any bowler wanting to try SWAG or that already loves the SWAG brand. Really strong release. I’mma go back to throwing it now.

Let's Talk about the Executioner. When SWAG calls a ball the Executioner, you already know there’s supposed to be some attitude behind it—and after putting this ball on the lanes, I can definitely see where the name comes from. What stood out to me immediately was the amount of confidence this ball gives me when I put it on the lane. The Executioner has a strong, controlled read through the midlane, and it doesn't feel like it's waiting until the very end of the lane to decide what it wants to do. For my game, that's important. With a layout of 40 x 3.75 . 35 As a speed-dominant, down-and-in bowler, I need something that can read the lane without forcing me to create a ton of shape. When the lane has more oil and I need something stronger than my Dragon Hybrid, this is the type of ball I'm looking for. The Executioner gives me that feeling of stability. I can put it into the oil, trust it to pick up, and watch it continue through the pins with authority. What I really like is that it's not just strong for the sake of being strong. There's a purpose behind the motion. It gives me traction, but it still maintains enough energy to finish the shot. And when you miss your target just a little bit, the Executioner gives you that confidence that it's going to stay in the pocket and keep driving. For me, this is going to be a fresh-condition weapon. When the lanes are telling me, "You need something stronger," this is the ball I'm going to be reaching for. The Dragon brings the fire. The Fusion Pearl brings the shape. But when it's time to execute... You call the Executioner!!

SWAG Executioner Ball Review The SWAG Executioner is one of those balls that really surprised me once I got it on the lanes. On a typical house shot, the first thing I noticed was how clean it gets through the front part of the lane. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying to read too early or burn up energy before it gets down lane. Once it gets into the midlane, you can see it start to pick up, and when it sees the friction on the outside, it makes a strong move toward the pocket without looking uncontrollable. What I really like about the Executioner is the shape. It gives me enough recovery when I miss a little right, but I can also move inside and send it toward the friction without feeling like the ball is going to quit. On a house pattern, I could definitely see this being a ball you can stay with for a good portion of a set because you can make small moves as the lanes transition instead of immediately having to switch balls. I also don’t think this is just a house-shot ball. With the right drilling and surface adjustment, I think the Executioner could have a legitimate place in a tournament bag. You could drill it to give you more control and earlier read for tougher patterns, or set it up to retain more energy and give you more shape down lane when you need it. As far as looks, SWAG did a great job with this one. It has that aggressive look going down the lane, and when you combine the appearance with the motion, the name Executioner actually fits it. It’s clean, strong, and when it gets to the pins it looks like it finishes the job. Overall, I see the Executioner as a versatile piece. For league bowlers, I think it can be a very good house-shot weapon. For tournament bowlers, I wouldn’t overlook it either. Match the drilling and surface to what you need, and I think there are several different ways this ball can earn a spot in the bag.
