The on is Drag-on
What impressed me is how much power this ball saves for the back part of the lane. It clears the fronts without looking like it’s struggling, gets itself into position through the mids, and then the Dragon really shows itself. Once it sees the spot, there’s a strong change of direction—but it still feels controlled. That’s the difference for me. It’s aggressive without being wild. On medium to heavier conditions, I can trust the Black Dragon Pearl to handle some oil while still giving me that stronger finish down lane. As the pattern starts transitioning, I can move inside, create more angle and let the ball use the friction instead of immediately reaching for something weaker. And when this ball turns the corner, it doesn’t stop. It drives through the pocket with some serious attitude and sends pins everywhere. This is a ball that gives you confidence to open the lane up and throw it like you mean it.

Sharper than the OG
While the Dragon Pearl didn’t quite match up with my personal game, I have seen many other bowlers achieve high scores and swear by its performance. It definitely comes off the back of the lane much stronger than the solid version, and it is noticeably cleaner through the front part of the lane. Because of these unique characteristics, it acts as a fantastic, balanced complement to the original Dragon solid. Even though it wasn't the right fit for my specific delivery style, I can easily recognize the value it provides to those who need that extra pop and cleaner entry. It is a high-performance ball that clearly holds its own for bowlers with a different style than mine, offering excellent utility for those who need a slightly more aggressive backend response

Backend Monster
This is definitely my back end monster. I am a no thumb one handed bowler and I drilled this with the 5"x4"x3 1/2" 2LS layout. When I first threw this ball out of box I wasn't getting the reaction I was looking for. Even with it being a pearl it picked up a little earlier than I wanted it to. I decided to continue throwing it and let it lane shine. Wow what a difference for me! I got the longer length that I wanted and it is very strong off of the friction. The thing that surprised me is that even though it jumped off the spot it didn't over react. It was still pretty controllable for me. It is also very continuous for me and my rev dominant style. I can see that if you aren't as rev dominant then the out of box surface would really be a benefit. This has become my go to ball when the lanes start breaking down.

Great Asym pearl

This ball is a must
Middle aged guy here who prefers Assymetrical pesrls to play down and in. This baby fits be needs. Weather i wa t to put a little angle on shot or play up the guy, this works for me well. Gets thru pil and man does this blow the rack.

SWAG Pearl Dragon – My Angle Maker
When the fronts start to go and I need to open the lane up, I grab my Swag Pearl Dragon. For me, it gets down the lane effortlessly, stores a ton of energy, and then makes a sharp, eye-catching move off the breakpoint. It lets me move left, send it right, and trust it to recover strong. What I love is the carry — it doesn’t just hook, it keeps driving. Light hits mix, and when I hit it flush, it’s explosive. When I need length with a big finish downlane, the Pearl Dragon brings the fire.

Backend Power with Attitude!
The Black Dragon Pearl is a ball I reach for when I need more angle and finishing power downlane. For my left-handed style, it clears the fronts effortlessly and makes a bold, confident move once it sees friction. What really stands out is the continuation—it doesn’t snap and quit, but instead drives hard through the pins with authority. Even as the lanes transition, the Black Dragon Pearl continues to store energy and maintain a strong backend shape. While it’s more aggressive than some other pearls, it still offers enough control to stay playable. When I need to open my angles slightly and trust the ball to recover and carry, the Black Dragon Pearl delivers a powerful and reliable reaction.

A perfect step-down from the Black Dragon Solid!
PAP - 3 3/4” right, 1/2” up DAS - 50 x 4 x 30 I threw it on a a typical house shot, medium oil, league conditions. I’m more speed dominant, throwing about 15.5mph, with a medium rev rate. I typically play down-and-in, targeting between 5 and 15, depending on lane condition. The best way for me to explain its motion is to compare it to Black Dragon Solid, which for me is drilled 50 x 3 1/4 x 30. It is a perfect step-down from the Solid. The Pearl slid through where the Solid reacted, and offered more motion on the backend. For me, the Solid was rounder with more of a mid-lane read and offered more an arc-like motion. The Pearl, in contrast, saved more of its energy moving through the heads and made its turn (NOT in a hockey-stick motion) closer to the pins. Both balls deliver pin-crushing results.
