Product Description
Motiv Orion Nebula Bowling Ball
The Motiv Orion Nebula takes the Nebula family in a new direction. The original Nebula was built for maximum angle. The Orion Nebula adds more grip in the midlane and gives you better control of your line, but it still has plenty of down-lane motion. That makes it a benchmark ball for medium oil that hits harder and moves more than most balls in its class.
The cover is Motiv's new Dynamic Leverage Solid Reactive. It reads the lane predictably, responds to friction at a moderate pace, and adjusts as the pattern breaks down. You can tune it with surface: leave it smoother for a quicker response, or add surface for more control and an earlier read when the lanes have more oil.
Inside is the dual-density Hadron Symmetrical core, carried over from the Nebula. It pairs stability with stored energy, so the ball makes a strong, controlled shape and keeps driving through the pins without turning jumpy. With 5"+ of flare potential, the Orion Nebula stays fresh to oil shot after shot, which suits league bowlers and tournament players who want one dependable first ball for typical house shots.

Motiv Orion Nebula Bowling Ball FAQ
What lane conditions is the Motiv Orion Nebula made for?
Medium oil. It's meant as a benchmark ball, the first one you throw to read the lanes, and it has more down-lane motion than a typical benchmark.
How is the Orion Nebula different from the original Nebula?
The original Nebula uses a Dark Matter Propulsion Pearl cover built for maximum backend angle. The Orion Nebula switches to a solid reactive cover, so it grips more and gives you more control. It still keeps some of the Nebula's strong down-lane motion.
What core does the Orion Nebula use?
The Hadron Symmetrical core, a dual-density design that adds stability and stored energy for a strong, predictable shape and drive through the pins.
What is the factory finish?
3000 Grit LSS. Bowlers who face heavier oil or want an earlier read can add surface. A smoother finish gives a quicker response to friction.
Is the Orion Nebula a good choice for league bowlers?
Yes. Its controllable motion on medium oil and its ability to adapt as the lanes change make it a dependable first ball for league play and typical house shots.
When is the Motiv Orion Nebula available?
It can be ordered starting November 25, 2026.
What weights does the Orion Nebula come in?
12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 lb. The 12 and 13 lb balls have a different RG and differential (Higher RG, Lower differential) than the heavier weights.
