Radical is very excited to announce two new launches. The Torpedo falls under the Top Shelf category, and the Torpedo Direct Hit falls under the Reliable category. Both Torpedo balls feature a newly developed asymmetrical core and new formula covers to offer a very wide range of performance.
The Torpedo and the Torpedo Direct Hit have core numbers of 2.482 RG, 0.054 total DIFF, and 0.017 INT DIFF. The big difference is in the coverstocks. The Torpedo features the super popular HK22 Cohesion + Pearl (HK22 C+ Pearl) with our texture additive. HK22C is our most aggressive HK22 cover available; this, along with the new Torpedo core design, makes for an aggressive down-lane move through the pins.
The uniqueness of the Torpedo core comes from the drilling performance range. The starting DIFF are 0.054 and 0.017, and they can be drilled to create a total DIFF of 0.068 with an INT DIFF of 0.034. They can also be drilled to a DIFF of 0.043 and an INT DIFF of 0.016. These drilling options make the Torpedo very versatile, and along with the cover options, they can cover all lane conditions for a wide variety of bowlers’ styles.
